Glen Cove YMCA plans community gathering
Glen Cove families will be kicking off fall in a fun way thanks to an upcoming local event.
The YMCA at Glen Cove has teamed up with area businesses and other vendors for an activity that will showcase what Glen Cove has to offer. It has been scheduled so that it can take full advantage of the fall weather, and the organizers say it will be bigger than last year's installment.
The function will feature booths and displays erected by local companies, and attendees can visit as many as they wish. They can speak to company representatives, collect promotional products, and discover the range of shops and services in their hometown. Meanwhile, the kids can spend some time in the bounce houses. There will be free games as well as airbrush tattoos and a pumpkin patch, and the young and old alike can enjoy visiting the touch-a-truck area. Ice cream and other treats will be available for purchase.
