This September, people all over the world will be showing some extra love to their local beaches, and Glen Cove will be one of the communities that will be pitching in with this global effort.
A group of volunteers will be hitting the sand at Garvies Point Museum and Preserve , and they will be giving the shoreline along Hempstead Harbor a good tidy. Everyone’s help will be appreciated, and if the day proves to be anything like past Coastal Clean Ups, the participants will pick up hundreds of pounds of trash and other debris.
The helpers will be heading to the beach to perform their duties, and once they are done, they will be welcome to stay and enjoy some refreshments and a chance to meet others who care about the environment. Live animal presentations will also be on offer, and all ages are invited to be a part of this stewardship activity.
Promoting this type of function can be made simple with help from a flyer printing company. It can prepare low-cost, effective marketing materials, and as they can be recycled once they are no longer needed, they can fit in well with the overall theme of this sort of activity.
Gravies Point Museum and Preserve will join communities all across the world that will be celebrating International Coastal Clean Up Day on September 26. The cleaners will be hitting the sand starting at 11:00 am.
