Glen Cove stargazers invited to explore the cosmos

Since the dawn of time, people have been fascinated by the stars, planets and other bodies in the night sky, and this spring, an event will be offered on Long Island that will explore the cosmos.

Whether they are a newbie to astronomy or have been studying the stars for years, everyone from Glen Cove is welcome to be part of this event. The equipment and knowledge will be provided, and all ages are encouraged to be a part of the night’s activities.

Those who register for the event are reminded to bring a folding chair to sit on as well as a blanket to wrap up in while they do some star gazing. Telescopes will be set up for them to use, and there will also be a presentation where they will learn more about the different celestial objects they may see. The location offers reduced level of light pollution, and there is no fee to be a part of the experience.
