The downtown district of Glen Cove has launched its ‘Play Downtown’ campaign. The marketing drive is aimed at offering incentives for shoppers who frequent local businesses.
The campaign is centered on Flyers that are easily found in any of Glen Cove’s local newsprint publications. The insert comes with coupons, discounts, and advertisements for local businesses.
The ‘play’ portion starts when shoppers make a purchase at one of these stores and ask the cashier to stamp their ad. The customer can then take this flyer to the Glen Cove Business Improvement District office located in the middle of downtown. Every month, one ad is drawn and the winner receives $500.
The Business Improvement District is an organization of local business and property owners in the downtown Glen Cove area that support local businesses and services in the area. It runs events, ad campaigns, and beautification projects year-round in an effort to better the city.
The Play Downtown Campaign can be found in any local newspaper. Most local businesses can stamp the ad for the drawing, but interested parties should contact the Glen Cove Business Improvement District on its website or by phone, or call the business itself, before making any shopping decisions.
