Glen Cove has a special event on the way that will be filled with fun for all ages.
The community has set the date for its annual Fall Family festival, and admission will be complimentary. Simpkins Park at Garvies Point has been chosen to serve as its venue, with a rain date planned in case of bad weather. The function is being hosted thanks to the Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce.
Families who take part will be treated to carnival-style games, and there will be prizes handed out. A pumpkin patch has been planned, and the younger attendees can spend some time in the bounce houses. Ice cream and other food trucks will be parked on site, and an airbrush body artist will supply temporary tattoos. The vendor market will offer an opportunity for businesses to showcase their products or services.
With community fairs being festive gatherings, a banner printing company can add even more excitement to an occasion. It can create custom decor that may be used indoors or out, and can work with most budgets.
Saturday, September 28 will see this fun-filled event takeover Simpkins Park, starting at 11:00 am. Its Patch listing offers information about how local businesses can get in touch with organizers to discuss sponsorship opportunities. The rain date is the following Saturday, October 5.
