Glen Cove is a community that cares about youth mental health, and a stigma-smashing event will soon be welcoming walkers in support of an area not-for-profit group.
Those who lace up their sneakers for the Hope in Motion Walk will be lending a hand at raising both money and awareness, and everyone is encouraged to get involved. It will be taking to the lanes at the track at Glen Cove High School, and the proceeds collected will be donated to I Am My Sister.
The activity, which has been dubbed “Hope in Motion,” will be for all ages, and everyone who cares about mental health is welcome. Those who take part are asked to seek sponsorships and help spread the word to as many as possible, and the plans for the day include self-care, wellness stations, and live music.
The organizers of the day have included a resource fair, and there will be raffles and other giveaways as well. A brochure printing company can prepare informational materials for an organization, as well as Promotional Products that can be added to prize baskets.
Hope in Motion will be taking to the track on Sunday, May 11, starting at 9:00 am, and all support will be appreciated. More details, including information for sponsors, can be found on its Facebook listing.
