Glen Cove session to explore arthritis

Arthritis comes in a variety of Forms, and these will be the focus of an online meeting being offered to the community by the Glen Cove Public Library.

According to the CDC, the number of people living with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or other forms of this disease is on the rise, and they may find this workshop helpful to them. It may also be useful to the families of these individuals, with learning led by Northwell Health’s Dr. Marie LaBarca, who is a specialist in the field of rheumatology.

During the session, the attendees will learn more about arthritis and the treatment options that may be available. Dr. LaBarca will also review the risk factors that may make someone more prone to developing the condition and how exercise and lifestyle adaptations may be useful to them.

Hosting an event like this is one way a library can serve its community. A brochure printing company will be able to help make sure everyone who registers has the information they need to make the most of the opportunity. Workshop packets that contain these publications, along with items like promotional Pens, can be sent out to the registrants ahead of the scheduled session.

This chance to learn more about arthritis will be welcoming attendees starting at 7:00 pm on July 1. The login information will be distributed to the registrants the day before the function is scheduled to take place.
