This March, Glen Cove will be giving a nod to its Irish roots by organizing a parade that has a long history of pleasing the public.
The annual Glen Cove St. Patrick’s Day Parade is right around the corner, and will welcome spring to the town in style. It will be returning to its original route, with a reviewing stand to be set up close to its finishing area at Pearsall Avenue and Glen Street.
The activity will be filled with music, and several bands with marchers and pipers will be taking part. Floats will be included, along with local first responders, vintage cars, and costumed characters. Organizers say that any monies not used to meet the expenses of staging the parade will be donated to charity. The parade will make its way through the community’s downtown, giving onlookers a chance to get a good view of everything on show.
