The Science Museum of Long Island offers the public a venue where they can get hands-on to learn about the four-legged SMLI inhabitants, and it has a special session in store for the end of December.
The Glen Cove Museum will be giving retails and mammals alike time in the spotlight when they become the stars of the Scales and Tails workshop event.
The kids and parents will have an opportunity to get up close with a variety of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. It's intended for youngsters aged 4 years and over, and it will run for five hours throughout the day.
The plans for the activity will give a sneak peek into the lives of an assorted species of animals, including how they have adapted to suit the environment they inhabit. They will even be invited to pat each one, and there will be some time set aside for crafting as well. This will be joined by a variety of live demonstrations.
