Garvies Point Museum offers Glen Cove and the rest of Long Island a chance to make discoveries about the world around them, and it has planned a summer camp series for area families.
The museum has created a schedule of summer camp sessions, and these daytime activities will introduce kids to the flora and fauna that can be found in their local community. There will be options available for kids up to the age of 11, with each camp running for four days.
Parents and guardians who register their child can choose from either morning or afternoon camp, and anyone who would prefer to sign up for four full days will be able to do so if they wish. Each of the campers will spend time outdoors, and will also make crafts, perform experiments, and enjoy educational films. They will need to supply their own lunch and snacks, as well as a water bottle.
Activities like these may help to put a child’s feet on the road to learning. T-Shirts, lanyards, and other gear sporting the function’s Logo Design will be available for the occasion from area Print shops.
