Many believe it is never too early to start planning for retirement, and a Glen Cove presentation will provide information and tips for anyone who is considering getting started.
NestEgg Advisors’s Evan Levy, who is a Certified Financial Planner, will be sharing his knowledge with the registrants in the Savvy Social Security Planning class, which will be hosted online. It is being presented by Glen Cove Public Library, and questions can be directed to the staff at its information desk.
The workshop will introduce an assortment of topics, and the hope is that the participants will walk away with a better understanding of the Social Security program and how they can make it work effectively for them. They will find ways to maximize their future benefits, and why it can sometimes make sense to defer them, and taxation and coordinating with spousal benefits will all be on the agenda as well.
Hosting an event online like this is one way to make it more accessible to those who cannot attend in person. A brochure printing company will be able to prepare learning materials to send out to anyone who requests them.
The Glen Cove Public Library will be running this Social Security information session September 14th, and it will begin at 7:00 pm. Its Patch listing includes a link to register for the workshop.
