Glen Cove library offering virtual geological workshop

For a variety of reasons, genealogy has become a popular hobby, and a Glen Cove workshop will help those who want to add a new skill to their toolbox.

Glen Cove Public Library has made plans to offer the public seats in its Virtual Family Tree Maker class. It will introduce the attendees to the program and how to make full use of it on their own, and it will be an interactive activity.

The class, which will take place in the evening, will cover how to use Family Tree Maker to keep track of genealogical research. It can also be utilized to prepare reports and charts, and the session will introduce the latest version of the program, as well as its updates and features. There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions, and anyone who would like to find out more about the workshop is asked to contact lwen@glencovelibrary.org.

While virtual events may take place online, there may still be a role in them for real world making materials. Flyer printing and other promotional services will be on offer at a local printer.

This opportunity to become more conversant with Family Tree Maker has been scheduled for 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 28th. The registration process can be completed on Eventkeeper by anyone who would like to join in.
