Glen Cove goes cruising in late June

The Gold Coast Cruisers are putting together their 2016 Waterfront Car Show. The event brings together car enthusiasts for an exciting weeklong exhibition with plenty of entertainment options.

The cars themselves are the main draw, and this year the show will feature over 1,000 different classics, street hot-rods, muscle cars, and antiques. A ‘55 Chevy, a ‘59 Cadillac, and an ‘86 El Camino will be among the member cars represented. The centerpiece is a ‘32 B400 Deucenberg that won the Detroit Autorama’s 2009 Ridler Award. All cars are certified as being show quality, and many will also have Brochures describing their history.

Alongside the automobiles, the show will have entertainment such as clowns, live music, children’s games, door prizes, and a raffle, for which tickets are available in advance from Gold Coast Cruiser members or can also be purchased the day of the event.

The show will be held right on the water, overlooking Long Island Sound, so visitors will also be treated to a view while they eat some of the food available from the many food trucks present.

The 2016 Waterfront Car Show will be held from June 27 to July 6 at Morgan Memorial Park, starting at 12:00 pm each day. Admission is $20 at the gate. Anyone interested in more information should contact the Gold Coast Cruisers directly or visit the website.
