Glen Cove celebration to pay homage to Emerald Isle

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and everyone from Glen Cove is welcome to don their favorite green attire and attend a function that will celebrate the area's Irish heritage.

Local scholars will be the beneficiaries of a local Irish Festival, which will be held in Hempstead this winter. It will explore the history, culture, food and music from The Emerald Isle, and the proceeds will be donated to the Hofstra University Scholarship fund to help deserving students pursue their post-secondary educational goals.

The plans for the occasion include live performances of both music and dance, and the attendees will be welcome to sample a variety of traditional Irish dishes. A selection of vendors will be offering items for sale, and anyone who would like additional details about the event and what they can expect to find may contact the organizers through the Festival Hotline at 516-463-6582.

Having a big group of participating vendors can help to attract an even larger crowd at this sort of event. This makes promoting the occasion extremely important, and a printing services company will be able to help by offering both advice and a wide selection of printed materials.

This year’s Hofstra’s Irish Festival will be bringing a piece of the island to the Glen Cove area on March 8. The festivities will be taking place at 900 Fulton Avenue in Hempstead.
