A day of family fun is on the way to the Glen Cove area, and everyone will be able to get in on the fall-themed excitement.
Sands Point Preserve will be the venue for Autumn Fest, which will be a celebration of all that makes the season special. Some adaptations have been made to the line-up of activities in response to Covid, and some new offerings have been added for this year.
The function has been designed so that it will allow for social distancing, and the fun includes live music and other performances on the main stage The kids can paint a pumpkin to take home, and live animal presentations and a photo area are in the works. Everyone will have a chance to go for a guided nature walk, and before they head for home, each attendee will be able to purchase some honey as well as a pumpkin and some fall chrysanthemums.

The newly revamped Autumn Fest will be held at Sands Point Preserve this Sunday, October 17, or on the scheduled rain date of the Sunday after, October 24.
