Glen Cove area fundraiser planned for Turtle Park

Making a park or playground accessible means that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can join in the fun. A Glen Cove area greenspace is making plans to make these upgrades, and it has put out a call for community support.

Those at the ‘Jam for Turtle Park’ fundraiser will be treated to an evening of music, food, and fun. The tunes for the occasion will be provided by Turtle Park Band, and the special guest for the event will be Megan Porcaro Herspring.

Tickets for this function are currently on offer for $32.71 each, and the proceeds will be utilized to provide upgrades to the park that will follow ADA accessibility standards. Those who attend the function will have an opportunity to learn more about how their support will make a difference for area families, and the planners of the evening noted that they wished to extend their gratitude to the businesses and organizations that have made it possible through their sponsorship.
