Glen Cove area evening to explore local history

The Glen Cove area is home to Mill Neck Manor, and over the years, this Tudor Revival style mansion has been both a private home and a school for the deaf. This summer, history and architecture buffs and those who just admire classic homes will be invited to be part of an adults only evening tour of the manor, and tickets are now on sale for the event.

Those who register for the occasion will be treated to an insider's view of the buildings, and this will include a one-hour-long guided tour, which will be led by a docent. It is open to those who are at least 18 years of age, and the monies raised will be used for the benefit of hearing-impaired children and adults.

The tour is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm, and once complete, the group will be invited to mingle and mix over some specialty cocktails and other light refreshments. The event can accommodate those with physical challenges, and sign language interpretation services are available upon request.

An event like this can give people a chance to learn about local history and get a sneak peek into the past. Brochures can be an easy way to provide the guests with more information, and these can be prepared in a wide assortment of styles by a local brochure printing company.

Mill Neck Manor will be opening its doors for this evening tour on July 26. It is located in Mill Neck at 40 Frost Road.
