Each year, Glen Cove area firefighters work to keep their community safe, and those from Mineola and Garden City will be honored during a special evening hosted by their local Rotary Club.
The club has selected these two fire departments to be the recipient of this year’s Community Service Award. This will be presented to them as part of the Community Service Award Cocktail Party that it will be hosing in mid-June.
Both individual and table ticket options are available, and cockatiels and light hors d’oeuvres will be served to the guests. Residents and local businesses alike are invited to attend and say thank you to the firefighters for the work they do to both keep the area safe and provide assistance in time of emergency. An even split draw is also on the agenda.
Area companies and organizations that would like to go a step further have been invited to act as a sponsor for the occasion. A variety of options have been made available for this, and each will give the sponsor a chance to get its name and branding out in the public’s eye.
