Acting as a benefit for the Northshore LIJ Glen Cove Hospital's Brain Injury Unit, the June Tunes event is taking place in a few weeks.
The main draw of the evening will be a performance by The Fab Four - a Beatles tribute band. They will no doubt be performing some of the band's most popular numbers. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic basket and a blanket to sit on. Organizers of the event promise that there will be free popcorn and cotton candy. Children can also have their faces painted.
The Brain Injury Unit is the only one of its kind in Nassau County and treats patients over the age of 18 suffering from serious brain injuries. In addition, Glen Cove Hospital is committed to outpatient, home, and community based services for residents of the city.
Organizers have provided a colorful flyer for this Glen Cove event. Local Stationery printers are often asked to help create Flyers which will then be distributed throughout the community to drum up interest and awareness.
June Tunes will be held on the Lawn at Old Westbury Gardens on June 14, beginning at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $50 in advance or $60 at the gate, while children 12 and under will be admitted free.
