An event has been planned for the Glen Cove area that can give those who already have a basic knowledge of plant-free living additional information and support, particularly when it comes to holiday dining.
Choosing to adopt a plant-based lifestyle can be a healthy choice, but especially during a holiday that puts turkey center stage, it can be a hard path to follow.
The group will discuss ways of making the holidays healthier, including how to deal with fat, sugar, and salt cravings. They will also discover the benefits of streamlining their food prep tasks and avoid kitchen drama. Recipes for tasty vegan alternatives to a traditional turkey dinner will shared, and the group will also talk about how they can give back to their home community by taking part in volunteer projects.
There are enough spaces for up to eight participants, and the planners hope it will be as fun as it is educational.
Tickets to take a seat in the class start at $45, and a special discount may be available for those who choose to buy one for themselves and a friend. Stationery printers can provide Copies of any handouts needed for this sort of event.
This opportunity to create a plant-based holiday experience that still offers the fun of a traditional Thanksgiving will be offered on November 10. The exact location will be released to the registrants at a later date.
