Big rigs ready to roll near Glen Cove

Some big rigs will soon be rolling in to the Glen Cove area, and both the young and the young at heart are invited to see them up close and personal.

All those who come to the 5th Annual Touch & Truck and Fall Festival, which is being hosted in Bellerose by the Cross Island YMCA, will be able to see trucks and other heavy equipment and explore them in person. Kids can climb both on and in them, and there will be lots of other fun as well.

Along with exploring the police cars, fire trucks, dump trucks, monster trucks and other vehicles, the public who come to the festival will be able to take in a live musical performance, watch the face painters and balloon twisters at work, and take a spin in one of the bounce houses. Kids can choose and paint a pumpkin, make a craft to take home, enjoy a snack, and play a game, while the older guests can enjoy browsing through the vendor displays.

A special raffle is also included in the plans for the occasion, and all of the proceeds from the day will be used to help the YMCA’s Annual Campaign. Any businesses that participate in an event like this can have Business Cards and other Promotional Products printed beforehand by a local printer.

This community activity will be taking place on September 22nd. It will be held at 238-10 Hillside Avenue in Bellerose.
