Fairport workshop to explore early signs of dementia

Alzheimer’s disease and other Forms of dementia can be a fact of life for older adults and their families, but a Fairport event will give the public some valuable insight into these age-related health conditions.

The Fairport Public Library offers the community a variety of learning opportunities, and one next week will be focused on dementia, including some of its early warning Signs. It is being presented by the Alzheimer’s Association Rochester and Finger Lakes Region, and everyone will walk away with resources that may be helpful to them.

The presentation will explore some of the early ways of detecting dementia, including some of the tests a doctor may perform. The group will discuss tips for approaching a friend or family member with memory concerns, and also why early treatment can be important. Support in the local area and other tips will be shared during the one-hour session.

Workshops often pack a lot of information into a small amount of time, leaving the attendees eager to find out more. A brochure printing company can prepare materials to hand out, and these may include full-color graphic design elements.

This introduction to dementia’s warning Signs will begin at 6:30 pm next Wednesday, April 17. It will be on offer in the Fairport Public Library’s Community room. Registration in advance is mandatory and this can be done on the library’s website.
