A learning event about wild animals will be presented in the Fairport Library just after Christmas.
Wildlife Rockstars: Superheroes will teach its attendees about different animals’ abilities and how these help them survive in their respective environments. Children 5 to 10 years old and their parents/guardians are the targeted audience for this event, but anyone is welcome to attend.
The instructors for this event will be brain injury survivors who are a part of the non-profit company Bridges for Brain Injury Inc.’s Wildlife Rockstars program. Through this program, brain trauma survivors are taught about and how to handle various wild animals. Then, the survivors, along with their animal ‘ambassadors’, travel to different locations to teach others about food webs, ecosystems, animal care, and other relevant matters.
This whole process helps the survivors rehabilitate and restart their lives by providing them with valuable new skills and teaching. It also helps the students of their program learn about the world around them. More information about the Wildlife Rockstars program is available below the graphic design on the website.
Wildlife Rockstars: Superheroes will take place on Wednesday, December 29 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at the Fairport Public Library, which is located at 1 Fairport Village Landing. Those looking to register for the event, should visit the Fairport Library website.
