Some of Murray Hill’s top hidden gems can be found in Prospect Park, and this patch of green in the heart of the city is set to welcome a walking tour that will highlight its past and look forward to its future.
The activity, which can be of interest to both visitors to the area and those who have lived there for many years, will explore the property and its history, all while offering more details about what makes it special. It will set out from the Grand Army Plaza, and from there, it will move on to the other features that can be found in the park.
The walking tour will pass by Long Meadow and Picnic House, and it will also include a visit to The Ravine, which is the only patch of forest still standing in the city. The group will also be able to enjoy viewing the carousel, Audubon Center and Boathouse, and while they walk, they will be invited to observe the site’s bridges, arches, and other structures.
