Photographers who would like to add to their skillset may wish to get on list for a class offering them some new tools for top-quality shots.
A workshop introducing the fundamentals of lighting will be on offer this spring, and it is scheduled to be held in Murray Hill. Listed as being a beginner level session, the registration fee for the class is $650.
The learning will be spread out over two days, and there will be a blend of instruction and hands-on shooting practice. Both natural and artificial lighting will be covered, and electronic flash systems and other accessories will be on the agenda. The goal is for the students to walk away with a greater understanding of how proper light can improve the overall quality of the photos they take, and the venue for the two-day activity is one that offers soft light that lasts throughout the day.
The instructor for this learning opportunity will be Andre French, and there are spaces for up to six registrants. Manuals and other texts for use during his sort of function can be ordered from a local printing services company.
The scheduled dates for this introductory level photography class will be May 15 and 16. It will be held at 36 E 30th Street in Murray Hill.
