The New York Botanical Garden provides the city and the surrounding area with a variety of learning opportunities and one of its upcoming workshops will introduce the basics of caring for tropical plants. Its listing explained that these bring a touch of beauty to a home, and there are many species to choose from.
The class will cover tropical plants such as bromeliads, palms, and other species grown for their foliage or flowers, and soil, watering, and their cultural concerns will be discussed. The participants will learn how to choose a plant that suits the conditions in their home, and to help everyone get started, each learner will be going home with a houseplant of their own.
