A hand-painted mat can be the final added touch to a home’s holiday decor, and a Murray Hill area crafting class will be preparing these festive items.
Brooklyn Paints is presenting a workshop to the public that will teach them the basics of painting a colorful welcome mat to display at their front door. The registration fee, which covers the cost of supplies and instruction, is $40 per participant.
Attendees will be given their mat to customize, as well as the paints they will work with, and drinks will be served. Participants can choose from the ones provided or they may create their own. The atmosphere will be relaxed and supportive, led by an experienced instructor with everyone encouraged to be as creative as they wish. They will be able to take their completed project home with them at the end of the activity.
