A Murray Hill area venue that offers a glimpse into the community's past has a hands-on activity scheduled for February, and it will use naturally sourced materials to prepare a special work of art.
The team at Wyckoff House Museum will be offering the public an opportunity to relive memories of fall when they prepare a clay leaf printing. It can accommodate up to 40 participants, with kids welcome, and the materials will be on offer for as long as supplies last.
The group will be working with leaves and flowers harvested at Wyckoff Farm Home, and it will provide an introduction to these native species. They will use them to create their own masterpiece, and the strings, beads, and paints will also be provided to them. The session is scheduled to take place at the Jamaica Bay Library branch in Brooklyn and is part of the Culture Pass series.
