Murray Hill families invited to Arbor Day activity

Arbor Day celebrates the importance of trees in communities all across the USA, and the Murray Hill area will be marking the occasion with a special event.

Prospect Park Alliance is set to welcome one and all for its Arbor Day festivities. It will encourage families to engage in some self-guided learning and other fun, and there are several activities on the agenda.

The afternoon will kick off with the distribution of Discovery Packs. These Backpacks will be filled with an assortment of materials and Promotional Products to help them learn about nature. This will be followed by a workshop that will introduce the trees that can be found at the venue, and the roles they play in the ecosystem. After this, everyone can roll up their sleeves and treat a tree to some mulch, which will both nourish it and protect its roots. The location is home to Brooklyn’s only remaining forest.

Being part of an afternoon dedicated to environmental stewardship can be a fun way for families to learn about the world around them. A brochure printing company can prepare informational materials to use during an event like this.

Arbor Day at the Audubon Center is on the way for April 26th, and the fun will be getting started at 12:00 pm. Additional information about its schedule and other details have been made available on the New York Family website.
