Murray Hill residents who have a hankering for the not so distant past recently had an opportunity to indulge in it to their hearts’ content, all while raising money for children in developing countries coping with cleft lips and palates.
On September 12, Brooklyn played host to ‘90s Fest, which celebrated all the things that those who came out felt made that decade great. Thousands of people attended the event, which was hosted by Pauly Shore, and featured an array of musical guests who were charting at the time, such as Smash Mouth, Coolio, Salt-n-Peppa, and Tonic.
Many of those in the crowd came decked out in their best ‘90s attire, some wearing T-Shirts with cultural references suited to that time, such as Nirvana, Saved by the Bell, and The Sandlot. The party was staged at 50 Kent Avenue, and ran from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm, with variety of food vendors on site so those who were hungry could get a bite to eat or a cold drink.
