The Toussaint L'Ouverture Symposium and Small Business Expo is taking place next week in Brooklyn, presented by the HABNET Chamber of Commerce.
The aim of the event is to showcase Haitian-American business and to recognize the owners of those companies and their contributions to the economic success to the community.
Local businesses will also be showcasing their products and services at vendor tables during the event. Table fees are $100 for members, $125 for non-members, and $250 for general corporations not necessarily Haitian-owned.
A guest speaker (still to be announced at the time of writing) will help to kick off the event, which will be followed by the presentation of such awards as Entrepreneur of the Year, Leadership and Service, Civic Leader Award, and Organization of the Year.
Those who plan to attend will probably have already placed a new digital business card printing order. Events like this are an effective way for business leaders to discover new working relationships. There will be time to briefly talk about individual businesses and to exchange cards.
The expo is being held at the Brooklyn Borough Hall on April 25 from 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm, and is free to attend. To find out more about the event, or to become an exhibitor and take up the offer of vendor table, call 718-576-1966.
