Residents of Murray Hill and the surrounding community of Brooklyn will soon have a piece of art that the creators hope will bring color and vibrancy to the neighborhood.
The work will consist of a series of 10 murals that will all be painted on one day on a piece of wall. The wall runs along a street that is currently undergoing an extensive development project that will bring housing and retail spaces to the area.
The artistic installation will be contained on the wall around the Pacific Park construction site, which is located between Carlton Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue. The 10 artists will lend their talents to decorating the 820-foot long expanse, and they will all create their pieces at once on August 15 as part of a local street fair.
A flyer printing firm can help to let the public know about the works of art like this by creating promotional materials for distribution throughout the neighborhood and larger community that surrounds it.
Mike Perry, who is the curator for the project, remarked that the group wants to do its part to help make what would otherwise be a long stretch of unattractive walls into something beautiful that everyone could enjoy as they pass it.
The development being built will be used to house both residential and commercial spaces, as well as a school and public areas.
