Brooklyn organization to honor two leaders in the community

The 3rd annual Summer Soiree is to be a major fundraising event for Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow early next month.

Attendees will enjoy food and drink while they honor a couple of people who have supported the organization and its programs. An auction will be among the attractions as well.

Two individuals who have given support to the organization are honored each year. For 2014, the winner of the Corporate Leadership award is Domenick A. Cama, while the Community Leadership award has been claimed by Diana Reyna, who is the Brooklyn Deputy Borough President.

Sponsorships are available from $200 up to $15,000, and donations are also still being collected for the auction.

Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow is an organization dedicated to helping disadvantaged youth and adults. Some of the services it provides include job training, life skills, and job placement.

Fundraising events like this depend on having a good turnout, and those groups that perform similar roles to this Brooklyn organization will often invest in flyer printing services. Flyers can then be sent to past attendees, volunteers, and local companies.

The Summer Soiree is being held at Battery Gardens on June 3 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Tickets are $250 or $150 for those employed with non-profit organizations. For more information, to become a sponsor, or to make an auction donation, contact Leah Herbert at 718-369-0303 x22.
