Mother Nature provides slots of treasures for those who know how to find them, and a Murray Hill area activity will use botanicals to create some sweet-smelling scents.
The Brooklyn Botanic Garden has made plans to offer an in-person Natural Perfume Blending class this January, and it will take place at the venue’s Administration Building. Both members and non-members are welcome, but those who currently hold a membership will be able to access a special discount.
The participants will learn about the history of perfume, and how various substances have been used throughout history to create these fragrances. Both natural and synthetics will be discussed, and everyone will be able to do some scent sampling. At the end of the activity, the registrants will each go home with two bottles of perfume to keep, and all of the materials needed for this will be supplied.
Adults often appreciate the opportunity to learn something new, and a workshop provides a way for them to do so along with other like-minded individuals. Learning materials, promotional Pens, and other items that may make learning both easier and fun can be prepared by a local printer.
