Approval has been given for a new project in the Brighton beach area. Once completed, it will be the first of its kind in the community.
The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission recently gave its stamp of approval to a 1,066ft tower, which will be located at 9 DeKalb Avenue. The plan is for construction of the 73-storey apartment building to begin this year. Once completed, it will be nearly twice as tall as any other structure in the vicinity.
The tower, which is being built by JDS Development Group, will join a group of at least eight others throughout the city of New York that top 1,000 feet. It will have a hexagonal shape that tapers at the top, and provide space for almost 500 units. Printing services can be used during projects such as this to provide Copies of everything from the artists’ concept drawing of buildings, to Brochures for prospective tenants or owners.
The Dime Savings Bank of Brooklyn will be incorporated into the structure, and the building, which was built in 1908, will be used to house shops and service providers.
