Brighton Beach residents who care about conservation will be able to support a local botanical garden while they enjoy an upcoming evening of elegance.
The New York Botanical Garden gives people from the area an opportunity to enjoy nature in an urban setting. To help fund its efforts, it will be welcoming guests at a fundraising celebration this June, and the centerpiece of the occasion will be an exhibit that showcases the relationship between people and the plants that provide food for the table.
The annual Conservatory Ball will include an exhibition of art and other works exploring the various food crops grown around the world and how they are often central to cultural celebrations. Cocktails and dinner will be served, and after this, there will be music and dancing. Monies raised will be utilized in funding botanical research, as well as an assortment of programming.
Organizations that choose to host a fundraiser will be able to order any themed decor they need from a banner printing company. They will also be able to provide Brochures and other materials that offer further details about a function’s charity of choice.
The NYBG Conservatory Ball will be opening the summer season with an evening of elegance on Thursday, June 2. It will open with a cocktail reception at 7:30 pm.
