A professional development opportunity to be held near Brighton Beach will bring counselors together from throughout the local area to network, learn, and show appreciation to one another for the work they do.
It will form part of National School Counseling Week, which is observed every February and recognizes the important role these professionals can play in the lives of children and youth.
WeIntervene will be tipping the hat to those who work with students, providing them with support, encouragement, and many other services by bringing together a variety of presenters and other experts in the field. While the day will offer chance to learn, it is also about networking and enjoyment.
The programming for the function will run throughout the morning, and at noon there will be a meet-and-greet and gift distribution. The evening will see more opportunities to build connections over appetizers and drinks, along with remarks from guest speakers. Local Stationery printers can design programs for a large function like this, which can help the delegates in planning their day.
One of the pillars of this occasion will be for the school counselors to show support for one another in what can be a challenging career. Each attendee is asked to bring along a handwritten note with a $5 gift card tucked inside. These will be distributed to each counselor to show appreciation and solidarity between them.
The salute to school counselors will be held at St. Francis College on January 31, and it is free for them to participate. Guests are welcome, but they are asked to pay a registration fee of $25.
