Knowing how to perform simple repairs in the home can save both time and money, and a workshop on offer for Brighton Beach will help make this a snap.
A basic home maintenance course has been planned for the area, and it will cover topics such as wood framing, exterior repairs, flooring, dry walling, and other carpentry. Intended for those who are at least 18 years of age, the 20 hours of learning will be spaced out over 20 hours.
The series of sessions, which will take place on Wednesday evenings, come with a registration fee of $175, and this includes the use of tools and practice materials. When the course is over, the students will each receive a special Certificate of Completion, and these sorts of items can be obtained from an area printing services company.
The seats in the series of classes will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, and this will be done once an individual has completed their payment. If there are no spaces available, those who are interested can request to be added to the wait list, and they will be contacted when there is a chance for them to take part.
The Level One Home Maintenance Course, which is being offered by NHS Brooklyn CDC, Inc. will begin on September 9 and run until October 21. It will be held at Flatbush YMCA, which can be found at 1401 Flatbush Avenue,
