Brighton Beach performance to offer fun that is accessible to all

An upcoming performance by a Brighton Beach theater company will be an experience everyone can enjoy.

It will be sensory friendly, and since American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services will be available, hearing impaired people will be able to take in the show.

Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre will be staging a performance of “Yeti, Set, Snow!” which tells the story of how a young girl and her companion befriend a Yeti and help him discover how the world can be a wonderful place. It will include a unique musical score, and is appropriate for all ages.

To help make enjoying live puppet theater accessible to as many as possible, the lights will be dimmed and the sound kept low so that those with sensory processing issues can participate. The ASL interpretation will also be on offer for anyone who needs it, and the location of the performance can be accessed by public transportation.

Attending an event like this can be a lot of fun for any age, and little ones often find it to be especially magical. Full color souvenir programs can be sold as mementos of the occasion, and these can be sourced from area Stationery printers.

The Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre, which can be found in Central Park, has scheduled its sensory friendly rendition of Yeti, Set, Snow! for January 24. Further details can be found on its online event listing.
