A green urban canopy can bring a touch of nature to a city, and a Brighton Beach area presentation will teach how to give street trees the level of care that will keep them healthy and happy.
The activity planned for early May will explore horticultural best practices when it comes to addressing the specific needs of street trees. The class runs for two hours, and the planners have urged to register in advance.
The session will explore ways to help urban trees thrive, including tips for preparing planting beds. Information about how to organize a public plant care party for their neighborhood will be shared as well. ASL translation services are available with two weeks’ advance notice.
Attendees will find out how to mulch urban trees and will receive other cultural tips. They will learn about how to get involved in the Greenest Block in Brooklyn competition. Everyone will receive a free plant to take home.
Urban plantings make it possible to enjoy connecting with nature even in a city. Copies of handouts, tree care guides, and marketing materials for a community activity can all be prepared by a printing services company.
This chance for Brighton Beach residents to add a touch of greenery to their neighborhood will run from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 6. It will be held in the Administration Building of the Brooklyn Botanical Garden.
