Brighton Beach residents who would like to learn more about cheese are welcome to register now for a session that be all about the ingredient and how it can be served.
Whether it’s made into a sandwich, melted into a fondue or just served on its own with a glass of chilled wine, cheese is a food that’s enjoyed by many. The participants in Feburary’s ‘Build Your Own Cheese Plate’ workshop will discover the secrets of prepping a plate of cheese that can wow the guests at their next gathering, and since lots of sampling will be included in the function, it will also be a tasty experience. The event will be taking place in Hoxton Williamsburg, and wine will be served as an accompaniment.
Marissa Mullen, who will be guiding the class, will demonstrate how easy it can be to create a stylish and appetizing cheese plate that also includes fruit and other items. When the workshop is over, the students will all go home with their own Brooklyn Slate board as well as a tote bag with a custom graphic design and, of course, some cheese to enjoy later.
The foodie-friendly event will be hosted by Mullen on February 11, and the fee to register is $100. It will begin at 7:00 pm and continue on until 9:00 pm.
