When May arrives, it will be time for Brighton Beach gardeners to get growing, and a local event can help them to get started.
East New York Farms has made arrangements to lend a hand to anyone who would like to try their luck at growing veggies in an urban or suburban setting. RSVPs are required to take advantage of the offer, and both individual and family tickets are on offer.
The planner of the activity explained that it will see the public go home with transplants for beans, herbs, cucumbers, melons, tomatoes, peppers, and other easy to grow vegetables. Individuals will receive half a tray of transplants, while families and other groups may qualify for a full tray. The cost starts at $3, and two pick-up days have been scheduled. The collection area will be set up at 620 Schenck Avenue in Brooklyn.
Community service organizations often operate on a tight budget and may appreciate marketing materials that are both effective and budget friendly. A printing services company will be happy to supply them, and can offer a full line of Promotional Products.
The East New York Farms Spring Plant Sale will welcome urban and suburban vegetable growers on May 26 and May 27. Tickets are limited to one per person, and requests to be part of the activity may be submitted online.
