A restaurant that has become a well known fixture in the Brighton Beach area may appear to have closed its doors, but according to its owners, this is only a temporary state of affairs.
Café Glechik is currently undergoing a facelift of sorts, and Paul Tesler, who is a member of the family that owns the restaurant, noted that it has been closed for a month and a half so far while the renovations are completed. Mr. Tesler would only give vague details about the upgrades that are taking place to the establishment, but he did note that they will give it a fresh, new vibe that he feels will give customers who patronize it an “overall better experience”. The plan is for the location to reopen its doors sometime in July, but as Mr. Tesler pointed out, sometimes this type of work can take longer than expected, so it may not be open for business again until September.
