Residents of Henderson who are interested in the area’s natural history may want to make sure they are included in a group that will be led through an exploration of the lower Colorado River.
The event has been planned to offer an overview of the river and the role it plays in the lives of the animals and people that call the area home. It will follow the body of water as it winds its way through Nevada, Arizona, and on into California, and a private tour of Hoover Dam is included in the agenda for the tour.
The organizers of the three-day-long activity have crafted an agenda for the function that includes stops at locations such as Lake Havasu, the Lake Mead Visitor Center, and the Mark Williams Pumping Plant, as well as other venues.
