Henderson is hosting a range of events to round out the summer in September.
The first big event of the month will be the Giant Garage Sale, starting at 7:00 am on Saturday, September 5. Sellers can rent a booth and rid themselves of items they no longer use, while shoppers can find a range of unique treasures. The sale includes an outdoor swap meet, children's bazaar, and kids’ clothing swap.
At similar garage sale events across the country, sellers sometimes use services such as banner printing to dress up their booths.
On Labor Day, which is September 7 this year, the Whitney Ranch Activity Pool is hosting Rad Tad's End of Summer Pool Party. The free event takes place from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm and includes snacks, games, and water safety lessons in addition to swimming.
Back 2 School Buddies is happening at Valley View Recreation Center on Saturday, September 12. The event gives kids a chance to connect with their classmates and make new friends while enjoying crafts, music, games, refreshments, dancing, and a bounce house. Children under six must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required and is $8 per person.
Finally, on Saturday, September 26, the Sprinkle Dash Kids Color Run takes place at O'Callaghan Park. Kids can run through four color stations before joining the dance party, playing in the bounce houses, and eating victory cupcakes. There will also be a Kids Market that lets children run their own tiny pop-up shops. Registration is $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the event.
A full list of events in September is available on the City of Henderson website.
