Henderson hosts tort-ally awesome birthday party

One of Henderson’s most popular reptilian residents is set to celebrate his birthday, and everyone is on the guest list for this “tort-ally” great time.

Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve is open to Tino the desert tortoise, and he will be “shell-ebrating” his birthday in early October. It will wrap up the venue’s Tortoise Week, and there will be activities running in honor of the occasion.

The attendees can meet Tino up close and in person, and they will also learn more about his relatives out in the desert, including how they live and their ecology. There will be hands-on fun that is also educational, and the hope is that everyone will walk away with a better knowledge and appreciation of these tortoises and how to protect them. No admission fee is to be charged, and the family friendly function will run for three hours.

Nature based play and other activities can make learning fun, and venues that host these types of occasions can order any materials they require from local Print shops. Their in-house graphic arts team will be able to perform custom work, including crafting a Logo Design and other branding.

Tino the desert tortoise will be celebrating his birthday on October 3rd. The soirée will kick off at 10:00 am, and the Preserve is located at 350 E Galleria Drive in Henderson.
