Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve offers year round opportunities for the public to engage with nature, and it has set the date for its 2026 spring native plant sale. There are several activities on its agenda, and it will incorporate both learning and fun.
Those who are interested will be invited to learn about the value if native species and cultivars, including how they can benefit wildlife and people alike. Tips for choosing the right one for a particular location, along with advice about water conservation, will be shared, and the Birdmobile will be rolling into offer tours at 10:30, am and 12:00 pm.
One of the main draws of the activity may be the opportunity to purchase native plants with a local provenance, and there will be lots to choose from. They tend to do well when grown under local conditions, and the shoppers can ask any questions they have.
