What's Happening in Henderson, NV…

Henderson workshop to address small space gardening

It is possible to grow vegetables in a small amount of space, and a Henderson area workshop will help point the way.

There are several options available to those who would like to get growing but don’t have a lot of room, and the cultivars that can be used for this may often be quite productive. Both new and experienced gardeners may benefit from this educational opportunity, and tickets are $10 each.

During the class, the attendees will learn how they can grow veggies in the conditions found in the local area. It will be focused on home food gardening, and the participants will have time to ask questions. The function will be facilitated by Dr. Angela O’Callaghan and is a presentation of the Cooperative Extension Department at the University of Nevada.

More and more people are discovering the benefits of home horticulture, and participating in workshops can help them to maximize their harvest. Whether they are in person or virtual, these activities often benefit from the service of local print shops, which will be able to supply poster printing and other marketing services

The University of Nevada has plans to offer this Zoom-based workshop on Saturday, February 5. It will start at 9:00 am, and tickets to be a part of the learning are available now via Eventbrite.
