Henderson to host veterans health fair

A community service group that meets the needs of business owners and professionals who are former armed service members has a special event planned for Henderson, and it will be on offer at a local golf club.

The Armed Forces Chamber Community Development Corporation will be presenting its Health and Wellness Fair in communities across the state, and it has a stop scheduled for Henderson. It is open to the public and free of charge, and The Legacy Golf Club will serve as the venue for the day.

Those who attend the function will be able to access an assortment of complementary wellness screenings, which may help to detect problems before they take hold. A vendor area of local health-related business – including hospitals, pharmacies, therapists, and counsellors – is set to be part of the occasion, and it will be open as a drop-in event for two hours.

Health fairs and other community level events give the public a way to gather a lot of information in a small amount of time, all under one roof. Brochure printing, Promotional Products and a full line of marketing materials will be available for such an activity at area printers.

The Armed Forces Chamber Community Development Corporation has made arrangements to offer this special activity on August 9. It will run from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
