Henderson residents are welcome to be among the crowd for the first ever Father Son Field Day that will be taking over Silver Mesa Rec Center this Father’s Day weekend.
Rescue the Children, which provides a range of supports to area families, will be the charity of choice for the occasion, and the dads and sons that take part can count on getting active and having fun doing so. Trophies and other prizes will be presented, and the afternoon is scheduled to run for four hours.
The plans for the function will see the fathers and sons team up to take on a variety of challenges. Sack races, basketball, kickball, tug of war, football, and relay races are just some of the fun that will be on offer, with music and a barbecue on the agenda as well. Everyone can take lots of photos, and when they head for home, the organizers hope all the attendees will be tired but happy.
